Scientific work.
The field of research of A. Palano is
experimental high energy physics and in particular, hadron
spectroscopy, performed in different experiments at CERN
(Geneva) and SLAC (Stanford).
The competences of A. Palano are
focused on design and simulation of experiments,
partecipation to data taking, software offline
reconstruction and in particular: data analysis. He has
discovered several new particles and developed sophisticated
Dalitz and Partial Wave Analyses.
Publications
A. Palano is co-author of many
publications on the major Scientific Journals: 58 from CERN
experiments (1977-1998), then all publications from BaBar
experiment at SLAC, and LHCb experiment at CERN.
Organization highlights
- Spokesperson of the WA76 experiment (search for glueballs in
the central region) with two runs at 85 and 300 GeV/c at the
CERN Omega Spectrometer: 1983-1990.
- Convener of the Charm Working group in BaBar experiment at
SLAC (2004-2006).
