If you arrive by Plane or by Train, do not forget to notify us your expected arrival time, date, place and all the accompanying persons so that the Workshop organization can arrange the shuttle service in advance. (Private taxi service would be very expensive, since the Brindisi Airport  and the Lecce Train station are rather far from the Workshop site) 

By plane: We highly recommend the nearest airport: Brindisi. Regular Alitalia flights connect Brindisi to the international airports in Rome, Milan Linate. There are also several other companies connecting Brindisi to other national and international airports, especially during the summer - see the Brindisi Airport web page for further information. Since there are relatively few daily flights to/from Brindisi, it is advisable to book your flight at your earliest convenience. Shuttles from the Brindisi Airport to Conca Specchiulla will be provided by the Workshop Organization.

By train: Nearest train station (Italian Railways): Lecce. A shuttle to Conca Specchiulla will be provided by the Workshop organization.

By car: By car: The Grand Hotel Daniela at Villaggio Conca Specchiulla is about 10 km far from Otranto. See the map and directions below.

1 Coming from North (i.e., from Brindisi) along the "Strada Statale n. 16" (SS 16), take the "Tangenziale Est" before entering in Lecce.
2 Take the exit 9B "Merine-Vernole-Melendugno"; continue towards Melendugno.
3 At Melendugno, you will find a cross-road stop with traffic lights: continue towards "San Foca-Otranto-Torre dell'Orso" and then towards San Foca.
4 At San Foca, continue towards the sea; at the roundabout with a tower (click the picture) turn right; continue towards "Roca-Torre dell'Orso-Otranto."
5 After about 2 km from Torre dell'Orso, you will find the "Villaggio Conca Specchiulla" and the "Hotel Daniela" on your left (click the picture).  
Note: There may be a guard at the entrance; if needed, tell the guard that you are a participant to the NOW 2014 Workshop. You will then get a parking permit for your car at the Hotel reception.
