Quantum motion in disordered magnetic fields.
Vincenzo G. Benza
Abstract
Spinless particle dynamics in disordered magnetic fields
is involved in various physical situations: vortex motion
in type II superconductors, quantum Hall effect at filling
factor 1/2, strongly correlated systems with spin-charge
separation. The case of fast fluctuations in time is con-
sidered, both in the continuum and on the lattice, and
the effective Liouvillian, after averaging over disorder,
is determined. Quantum diffusion and logarithmic growth are
obtained. In the presence of bias the dynamics is described
by a pair hopping model: two classes of solutions (correlated
and anticorrelated particle-antiparticle pairs) are discussed.
