Diffusive equation with slow dynamics
Federico Corberi
Abstract
I discuss a continuum model for the time evolution of diffusive particles
modeled by a diffusion equation with a density dependent mobility M that
vanishes as an arrest density is approached. The model is studied
numerically and analytically in a mean field approach. For low
temperatures two glassy regions are observed
corresponding to intermediate and high particle concentrations. Here the
systems evolves out of an initially pinned state toward complete
equilibration showing ageing and a slow decay of the autocorrelation
function as a stretched exponential or an enhanced power law.
