Second Announcement

SM&FT 2006, the XIII workshop on Statistical Mechanics and non perturbative Field Theory,  will be held in Bari from 20 to 22 September, 2006.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers in Statistical Mechanics and non perturbative Field Theory.

The workshop will take place at

 

Dipartimento di Fisica  Univ. Bari

via Amendola 173 Bari

in rooms A,B (first floor of the building).

 

There will be wireless internet throughout rooms A,B.

Notice that, due to recent security restrictions, participants who want to use wireless

must furnish a copy of their passport (or other identity document).

 

 

HOTELS

are offering reduced rates.

Participants can make reservations directly with the hotels or through the

booking form.

IMPORTANT:  we have a block of rooms reserved at Hotel Campus

at 28€/night (b&b)  up to July, 30. After that date the reservations

will be subject to availability. For direct booking to Hotel Campus

please cite the name of the workshop: "SM&FT 2006".

Notice that taxi fare from airport to downtown is  ~30EURO.

 

PROGRAM

 

The workshop will start at  09:00 Sept. 20 and will end  Sept. 22 in the afternoon.

Detailed program will be available two weeks before the workshop.

 

Lunches will be provided on site.

 

In the afternoon of Sept. 21 there will be an excursion

followed by the social dinner.

 

 

TALKS

 

There will be plenary and parallel sessions

(detailed schedule will be available two weeks before the workshop).

 

It will be possible to give your talk by transparencies or LCD projection.

 

Speakers will be asked to send their presentation file (ppt, pdf, or ps) to smft2006@ba.infn.it

(as in the past workshop we will make available presentation files on the web page

after the end of the workshop).
