We study some aspects of QCD by means of bottom-up models inspired by the AdS/CFT correspondence

Worldsheet for quark-antiquark static potential

We study QCD at finite temperature and density through a semiclassical gravity theory in a 5d spacetime with a charged black hole (AdS Reissner-Nordstrom). Temperature and chemical potential in the gauge theory are related to the parameters of the black hole.

We study systems out-of-equilibrium as the one produced in heavy-ion collisions at LHC by introducing a perturbation in the 4d metric that propagates in the 5d bulk generating a black-hole horizon.
Hadron spectroscopy
We study the spectrum of heavy mesons, baryons, tetraquarks (diquark+diquark) and pentaquarks in a potential model.
