The NOW 2024 Workshop
Venue (Basiliani Hotel SPA) is
located on a hillside, at walking distance from the old town of Otranto and its
local beaches. The Workshop participants and/or the accompanying persons may
spend their free time either inside the Hotel (which offers a large and deep pool for adults and a solarium free
of charge, plus charged SPA services) or outside it, towards the old town and
the seaside, that are favorite destinations for tourists.
Outside
the Hotel, some points of interests are: the Otranto Castle (often
featuring art exhibitions), the Old Town (with many places to stop for a visit,
for a drink, or for shopping), the Cathedral (with its famous floor mosaic), the local sand
beach with shallow waters ("Lido", suitable for both adults and children) and the rocky seaside with deep waters (suitable only for experienced swimmers).
