The NOW
2024 poster shows a hand-drawn reproduction of the front entrance of the
Otranto Cathedral https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otranto_Cathedral The main elements of the entrance - the four
columns and the portal – where built in 1674, about two centuries later than
the upper rose window.
We may
consider an analogy between this architectural structure and the scientific
structure of the NOW 2024 workshop, with the four columns suggesting the
plenary and parallel sessions named: (I) Standard three-neutrino oscillations; (II) Beyond
the standard framework;(III) Neutrino masses, states and
interactions; (IV) Particle physics from the sky and the cosmos, plus
the open entrance referring to the extra plenary session named: Crossing
the portal.
